Tommy's FIRST tattoo - June 2007- Nashville, TN
"No, I have not lost my mind" I told
Frogman Scott at the CMA Music Festival
on Thursday night (June 7th). Scott could
not believe that I just suddenly got a
tattoo in Nashville...

Here's the story: Last year at our Food Drive
(Thanksgiving on the Mayflower) Scott and
myself lived on location for some 3 days.
During that time I lost a cross that had been
hanging around my neck for some 15 years.
My 4 year old called it my "God cross" and I cannot
tell you how true that was for me. I wore it around my
neck without fail for so long, that I kinda felt lost
without it...

Flash forward to Nashville; There I am standing
at 3rd and Broadway. (walking toward the LP
field, where the concert was) As I started to
cross the street, for some reason, I stopped
myself. Twice!
...I looked at Billy Joe's Tattoo shop for about
30 seconds, then started walking towards it
not really knowing why.

I walked in and started browsing. After about 5
minutes I found the design that reminded me
of what I had lost. So on a fluke I asked if they
were very busy and incredibly they got me in
immediately. My artist was done in about a half
hour...
Yes, It stung. You can tell
from that lip biting...
